About Dagoretti Special School

Dagoretti Special School is a public, co-educational day and boarding primary school in Nairobi City County, Kenya. We serve learners with intellectual and physical disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, and hemiplegia. Established officially in 1966, our roots go back to a British Red Cross children’s centre that provided care for children with physical challenges. In 1960, the area also hosted a specialised unit for the deaf before the school transitioned into a public institution focused entirely on learners with autism, intellectual disabilities, and cerebral palsy. For over five decades, we have been committed to providing quality, specialised education and care in an inclusive and supportive environment.
